Those visits were under warranty and now I’m out and the issue is back. In short, the fan air cannot reach the coil under the ice box. My freezer looked exactly like the pictures above, I could not find a solution anywhere, so I figured id take the ice maker apart and put back together, I couldn’t make it any worse. As with the rest of you the ice bucket is frozen so I can’t even get the front off to defrost it!

We then figured it had to be the sound of its attempt to fill with water to make ice. Pull out the fridge far enough to unplug it. Remove food in fridge to cooler. Place small tub like container with HOT water under the icemaker’s bucket. Be sure to have a towel in bottom of fridge to catch drips. Once the ice has thawed enough to dislodge the jam, remove the troublemaking ice. Our plan: dump ice from bucket at least monthly.
